Childhood and youth

Jennifer Rene Psaki was born on December 1, 1978 in the city of Stamford (Connecticut), located near New York, in the family of a psychotherapist and builder. Jen Psaki's father James ended his career in the construction of apartment buildings and retired. Elin Midway's mother is a well-known psychotherapist and still practices in Greenwich. Psaki's father's roots go to Greece, her mother is half Polish, half Irish by nationality.

In 2008, the career of a civil servant received a new round of development: at that time, an American served as a traveling press secretary for Senator Barack Obama. When he won the election for the presidency of the United States, Psaki followed the incumbent president to the White House, first in the position of deputy press secretary.
